Snowcollies

The snow is still falling, the wind has picked up and the temps are dropping.  Now we are all inside, staying warm and snuggling with the collies.  But earlier today the collies had fun outside playing in the snow.  So we thought we share some videos from earlier today.

Collies, like most dogs and children, LOVE snow.  They just can't get enough snow.

Watching them frolic and play in the snow reminds of when I was a child, I would stay outside playing until my mom made me come inside.

This little girl is 6 month old Kelsea.  She is visiting, and this was her first experience with snow.  She was so happy and had so much fun!

Where is Spring?

We are still waiting for Spring here, but with yet another snowstorm due to arrive Sunday night, we aren't sure when this Winter will end!

Somecollie is very happy with all the snow!

Of course the collies don't mind the snow, they love it!

And Kori, even though she is a smooth coated collie, is taking up Winter sports.  Maybe it's the Olympics that are inspiring her, but she is definitely on her way to earning the Gold in the "Snowball Catching" event!

You go, Girl!

Little sister, Scarlett, has been paying close attention, I wonder if she hopes to give it a try someday?

But she is going to have to practice long and hard, to beat Kori!

Holly loves playing in the snow at the park, but she wants no part of catching balls of frozen water in her mouth.  She thinks some young collies are out of their minds!

How about your dogs?  Do they love winter and snow?

Snowy Valentines!

This post is a day late, but we wanted to share our Valentine's Day pictures!

Ryder and Scarlett, and all the rest of our collies, want to send love to Lad, the collie from our earlier post.  He had surgery, and sadly they had to remove most of his lower jaw.  He is currently being fed through a feeding tube, and he is trying to drink.  But he is healing, and it's hopeful that he will be ok, once he gains weight.  The police know who shot Lad, so we are all hoping  Lad's abuser will be prosecuted.

And it snowed here, again, and another storm is about to start.  The collies are Loving all this snow!

With the snow just starting to fall, we decided to head to "our" park, so the collies could get some exercise. As usual, we had the park to ourselves, they had so much fun!

The Dog park in Winter...

Yesterday was another cold day here in New England, with temps in the teens.  But the collies needed to really let loose and run, so we headed to the dog park.

The ocean water, right next to the park was frozen because of the abnormally low temperatures due to the Polar Vortex.

I wonder what had Abby so lost in thought...

Chase!

"I will follow you, follow you wherever you may go!"

Hi!

"I'm Queen of the dog park!"

Abby trying out the tunnel

Then it's Kori's turn!

Then Ryder has to give it a try!

Holly is telling my daughter she is not going in that tunnel!

Ouch!

They had a fun time, and were finally ready to go home, get warmed up and take a nap!

More snow!

Just what we need!  Something tells me this is going to be a snowy Winter!

Some pup doesn't mind one bit, snow looks good on him!

The snow has finally arrived!

The collies love snow, and are enjoying their snow day!

Want to come outside and play in the snow with us?

I would have been happy if the snow had held off until the new year, but it's hard to tell that to this face!

Why are you sighing Mom? Snow is fun!
