Another Park Day visit!

Yesterday was overcast, with occasional rain showers.  I don't like the rain, but I still wanted to visit one more park, before Memorial Day, because soon the parks will be crowded.  So I told Mom to grab her camera, and we headed out.

Here I am at the entrance to Wadsworth Falls State Park!

Mom wasn't holding the camera straight, but I looked so cute in this one I had to share!

Here Mom, aren't the Falls prettier now that I am in front of them?

It was a nice trip, even though it took an hour to get to the park.  What's the longest you have traveled for a hike?

    1. We found a website that is helping us choose what parks we want to visit.

      Do you have something similar?

    1. We have been trying to visit as many parks as we can, before the hot weather begins. After that we will limit our walks to morning and evening walks on the beach. I'm sure the OP pack can understand, I imagine they get hot too!

  12. Hello!!! THANK YOU for stopping by my blog and introducing yourself! I followed the crumbs back to your blog and have really enjoyed my visit, and I'm looking forward to following you and getting to know you all a bit better!!

You asked how far we'd gone to take a hike--When we lived in Alaska, we always drove more than an hour as well for a good hike, and it was always worth it--Here in Virginia we don't go quite as far, but then I'm not quite as young as I once was! :-)

    Enjoy your evening!!

    1. We have relatives in Alaska, and are always amazed at the beauty of the parks in that state! We hope to visit one day, and see it for ourselves!

We have been to Virginia Beach and of course to visit the wild ponies of Chincoteague. We love your state! :)

  13. Nice pictures and yes, the scenery looks much better with you in front of it! We are the same as you, we'd rather go to places like that when there aren't lots of people. We've driven around four hours for a day hike. Yes, makes for a long day but once in a while, worth it for specific scenery.

    1. Four hours is a long way! But then again, we have driven 19 hours for a dog show...

What is your favorite park to visit?

Your park visit looks like it was lots of fun! I wish we had places like that to visit in the city. But alas, we must settle for concrete buildings and traffic jams.

  23. I'm still trying to get Hubby out of the house and back to hiking different areas. I think I've worked with Delilah enough that I'm fairly confident I can handle her out in public. :-)

That's a beautiful park you have there. I think being closer to the shore you have a better variety then we have inland.
