Yesterday was overcast, with occasional rain showers. I don't like the rain, but I still wanted to visit one more park, before Memorial Day, because soon the parks will be crowded. So I told Mom to grab her camera, and we headed out.

Here I am at the entrance to Wadsworth Falls State Park!
|
|
Mom wasn't holding the camera straight, but I looked so cute in this one I had to share!
|
|
Here Mom, aren't the Falls prettier now that I am in front of them? |
It was a nice trip, even though it took an hour to get to the park. What's the longest you have traveled for a hike?
I agree all the pictures are the bestest when you are in front of them!!!

Aww, thank you! :)
DeleteGreat photos, you look nice and relaxed in front of the Falls.
ReplyDeleteSheba.
thank you so much! :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteIt was so quiet and peaceful, but we are wondering what it is like when the schools are out for the summer!
DeleteThe shot in front of the falls is beautiful!! Calendar pose!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Do you think there will be another Blogville Calendar? We were wondering.
DeleteOMD you have such beautiful parks.... I am soooooo jellyous BOL xx00xx
ReplyDeleteMollie and Alfie
You have lovely areas around you too! (your beaches are nicer than ours!)
DeleteWhat beautiful photos and yes Ryder is so handsome
ReplyDeleteKori thinks Ryder is getting too many pictures lately, and I have promised her a trip to the beach when the rain lets up! :)
DeleteThank you for the beautiful photos.
ReplyDeletequite charmingly.
greetings from Sylvia
Thank you so much!
DeleteYou make the pictures even prettier :)
ReplyDeleteAny picture is improved by the addition of a canine...at least we think so! lol
DeleteIt looks like you guys had a wonderful day! What a beautiful place for a walk... and to take some amazing photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The funny thing is we drove by this town every weekend, for years, and never knew about this park!
DeleteWow, an hour~ that's a long time, but we love those waterfalls. I guess we have driven an hour too to get out to a new park!
ReplyDeleteWe found a website that is helping us choose what parks we want to visit.

Do you have something similar?
That last photo is so pretty - glad you got another trip to the park.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
We have been trying to visit as many parks as we can, before the hot weather begins. After that we will limit our walks to morning and evening walks on the beach. I'm sure the OP pack can understand, I imagine they get hot too!
DeleteHello!!! THANK YOU for stopping by my blog and introducing yourself! I followed the crumbs back to your blog and have really enjoyed my visit, and I'm looking forward to following you and getting to know you all a bit better!!
ReplyDeleteYou asked how far we'd gone to take a hike--When we lived in Alaska, we always drove more than an hour as well for a good hike, and it was always worth it--Here in Virginia we don't go quite as far, but then I'm not quite as young as I once was! :-)
Enjoy your evening!!
We have relatives in Alaska, and are always amazed at the beauty of the parks in that state! We hope to visit one day, and see it for ourselves!
DeleteWe have been to Virginia Beach and of course to visit the wild ponies of Chincoteague. We love your state! :)
Nice pictures and yes, the scenery looks much better with you in front of it! We are the same as you, we'd rather go to places like that when there aren't lots of people. We've driven around four hours for a day hike. Yes, makes for a long day but once in a while, worth it for specific scenery.
ReplyDeleteFour hours is a long way! But then again, we have driven 19 hours for a dog show...
DeleteWhat is your favorite park to visit?
Beautiful photos and the falls look much much prettier with you in front of them!
ReplyDelete:) Ryder wants me to tell you "thank you!"
DeleteGreat Pictures. You dogs make those places look good!
ReplyDeleteStop by our blog, we have an award for you!!
Wyatt and Stanzie
Thank you! We are heading over right now! :)
DeleteHi there. We found your blog through Wyatt and Stanzie. Nice to meet you! We're your newest followers and look forward to getting to know you guys better.
ReplyDeleteYour park visit looks like it was lots of fun! I wish we had places like that to visit in the city. But alas, we must settle for concrete buildings and traffic jams.
Thank you for following us! We just added you to our list too! :)
DeleteI like the jaunty angle!!
ReplyDelete:) thank you! We think our mom needs to work on her picture taking skills! Lol
DeleteWhat a lovely place and the water fall looks much better with you in front
ReplyDeletefrom Milo & Jet
Thank you! I wish the sun had been brighter, but it was a very overcast day,
DeleteWe've driven almost 4 hours to get up to the Osceola National Forest, but we were spending the weekend and the Forest is totally worth it...Momz & I brought your challenge list with us on our hike the other day and I think we did enough to finish it :) Post coming Monday
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures. The waterfall is pretty but we agree that with you in front it is even prettier!
ReplyDeleteHi Y'all!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! The falls are much prettier when you are laying in front of them.
Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
Your pictures are beautiful. It helps having good subjects to take pictures of!! Also can't believe all the BINGOs you guys have done ... WOW!!! Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to get Hubby out of the house and back to hiking different areas. I think I've worked with Delilah enough that I'm fairly confident I can handle her out in public. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful park you have there. I think being closer to the shore you have a better variety then we have inland.
