Please be patient, as Photobucket has taken all our pictures hostage. They changed their policy overnight, without warning, and no pictures will be visible unless each blogger pays $400. I will be downloading pictures and editing all my past posts so that the pictures are visible again. But this will be a very slow, long process.
What a nightmare! So sorry you are having such problems. Hope to see pics of the dogs soon again.
ReplyDeleteIt's taking a long time to fix my posts. I have to link back to the original pictures (since I can't see them either), then once I have identified what picture was used, I have to save it to the computer, and then edit the post to upload the picture. I have to do this for every picture, on 90% of my posts. So this is going to take weeks to fix.
Deletethis is extortion
ReplyDeleteIt really is...this was supposed to be a free feature, and now overnight they changed their policy. They didn't give anyone any advance warning, everyone woke up yesterday to discover all their pictures were blocked on their blogs. And Photobucket is demanding we pay $400 to restore the pictures.
DeleteI just subscribed with Picture Trail (to use as a selling site), but otherwise, I use my own files on my computer to store all my photos...good luck!
ReplyDeleteI'm slowly transferring my pictures over to Imgur, but I'll check out Picture trail, thanks
DeleteSo very sorry for this! I just hate it when something changes unexpectedly-I'm too old for this. Hope you get your photos back.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Noreen
I'm working on it, but I have to save every picture from Photobucket, and then edit each post and upload the pictures from my computer. It's going to take a very long time to fix all my posts.
DeleteWow, that is the pits! How can they do that??
ReplyDeleteYour Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
I think they are going to lose 90% of their members. If they asked for a reasonable fee most would have paid it. But to go from a free feature to charging $400 without warning is unethical.
DeleteThat's scary
ReplyDeleteAnd frustrating!
DeleteThat's ridiculous. As you said above in a comment I can't imagine that they're going to keep many members by doing that.
ReplyDeleteOh no! How awful, there should be a class action lawsuit!
ReplyDeleteOh no! How frustrating for you! This is just not right!
ReplyDeleteThat seems quite unreasonable. Any chance Photobucket got hacked? What a lot of work! We too store our photos in our own files.

Grrr....I can't recall if I answered your question about "lambs". We purchased those stuffed lambs from a store called Dollarama. We'll look at several Dollarama stores and let you know if we come up with any.

ReplyDeleteUgh... that seems rather unreasonable. Hope you can get your photos back without paying ransom. Thanks for coming by.
ReplyDeleteUgh I hate when this happens. Try amazon web services. They're pretty cheap and I used it on all of my websites (about 10 in total, pay about $2 a month)
ReplyDeleteOh no! That is terrible! Where are they? I will bite them for you!!!
ReplyDeleteOMD, I'm so sorry. I know how much work this is going to be. But thankful that you're willing to do it so your blog can continue to be useful for folks.
ReplyDeleteI have been wondering how to store my photos. I'm getting closer to buying an external hard drive. The cloud is just unreliable.
How can they do that? My photos are on WP, and then I also have them on my computer.
ReplyDeleteI'm super sorry you're dealing with this.
That's terrible :( So sorry you are having to do all of that work. It just doesn't seem fair!
