I read a post on a friend's blog, that reminded me of the illustrations below. It was created by Dr Sophia Yin. They have been going around Facebook for awhile, so I thought I would share them, in case anyone wanted to read them, or share them with the children in your lives.
Dr Sophia Yin's blog can be found by clicking on her name. It is a wonderful blog, with a lot of useful information. You can purchase her books and DVD's by clicking on this

that is so true...my aunt trudie loved the grandmonsters but everytime they came over she was so scared she would get aggressive and she had to go to her room where she felt safe, the kids were so good with her and loving but she had been through so much pain in her life from the bad place she lived that she couldn't forget. All mom has to say to us is the KIDS are coming and we get all happy. Sometimes its hard for kids to understand what kind of lives us furkids may have had before we got our forever homes.
ReplyDeleteHave a great wednesday

I hate it when people let their kids race towards my dogs without question.....my boys are not used to kids and are never sure what to make of them. Mind you I always step between the child and my dogs and make them wait until they ask if it is okay to pat them.
ReplyDeleteSophia Yin is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is today's hot topic...Jodi at Heart Like a Dog wrote about it also and I've shared your post over on her blog http://www.heartlikeadog.com/2013/06/19/what-did-you-do-to-her/
ReplyDeleteP.S. I've got you nominated for an award on my blog tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteIt's hard sometimes with smaller children which is why it is so important for adults to ALWAYS supervise and monitor the situation!!

My trainer gave me a pamphlet by her for my nephews to read before meeting my shy dog. It really seemed to help!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great post and it should be posted in classrooms and doctors' offices. Mom is always very careful to teach the little bipeds the right ways to behave around us, just as we have to do around them too. And one can NEVER be too careful.

I've seriously thought about framing some printouts from Lili Chin and putting them on my wall. She does great work.
